Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative

Welcome to Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative, a member-owned, not-for-profit distribution cooperative located in Rosholt, WI.  Established in 1938 by local citizens to bring electricity to rural families, farms and businesses.  We provide electricity to approximately 7,100 members on 1,500 miles of electric lines in Central Wisconsin.  We serve parts of Portage, Waupaca, Marathon, and Shawano counties.

The Co-op is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its members.  We are founded on seven principles that still guide us today.  Our goal is to provide safe, reliable electric service at the best possible price. In addition to meeting your electric needs, we are pleased to offer a variety of products and services designed to enhance the quality of life in rural central Wisconsin.

The EPA’s proposal will increase costs, jeopardize reliability, and threaten thousands of American jobs without any significant impact on global CO2 emissions or climate change; all pain with no gain. American family budgets are already stretched thin - they can’t afford the EPA’s energy plan.
Go to www.action.coop to join the more than half a million Americans who have already taken action to stop the EPA from implementing costly new regulations.
