About Us...
Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative (CWEC) is an electric utility in central Wisconsin, serving approximately 8,000 members on 1,500 miles of electric lines. As a member of the cooperative you are actually an owner. We encourage all of our members to become involved in the co-op by volunteering to serve on a committee, becoming a board member or attending an annual meeting. Your co-op is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of co-op members and we are guided by seven cooperative principles.
In addition to meeting your electric needs, we are pleased to offer a variety of products and services including: Products - Satellite TV, High-Speed Internet, Heating Systems, Lifeline Phones, Cell Phones, Propane, Surge Protection Devices and Water Heaters; Services – Energy Conservation Rewards, Energy Audits, Operation Roundup, Scholarships, Toys for Tots, Low Income Assistance, Economic Development including a Revolving Loan Fund, Farm Wiring Program, Diggers Hotline, Youth Leadership and Educational Speakers.
