Our building project continues to progress nicely, but the excessive rain this summer has had an impact.  By the time you read this, there should be walls up and the building should be taking shape.  As I mentioned before, we felt the time to do this was right for several reasons.  Interest rates are low and, in fact, we are working on a bonding issue with Portage County that will lock in interest rates for 30 years at around 5%.  This is a very attractive rate.  We also felt that the economy would result in very competitive bids and that has proven true as we anticipate the building will be well over a half a million dollars less than we originally projected.

We are completing the designs and specifications and plan on getting
bids from contractors in May. If you know of any local contractors who
may be interested, have them call our office and ask for Greg Blum, so
he can put them on a list to make sure they get information about the
bidding process. The building will be a pre-cast cement and cement brick building with about 16,000 sq.ft. of office space and 32,000 sq.ft. of warehouse and garage area.

We will start building this summer and hopefully, be ready for moving by
February 2011.

We plan on closing our Wittenberg office and bringing those 4 employees into the new building. All four are linemen.

The new site is 14 miles from our current site in Iola. We don't plan any
layoffs or new hires with this move.
