2008 Single Phase Line Extension Charges

Line Extension Fees Single Phase (Permanent residential, year around)

  • Construction Fee     $350.00
  • First 200 Feet          $700.00
  • Per Foot Charge after the First 200 Feet $5.25 

Line Extension Fees Single Phase (Permanent residential, seasonal)

  • Construction Fee $850.00
  • First 200 Feet      $700.00
  • Per Foot Charge after the First 200 Feet  $5.25 

Line Extension Fees Single Phase (Non-permanent and minimal use)

  • Construction Fee  $1,350.00
  • First 200 Feet       $700.00
  • Per Foot Charge after the First 200 Feet  $5.25 
  • Road Crossing Fee (plus any local fees)   $500.00 

All new single phase connections will be charged a construction fee, if the meter pedestal installation is located next to an existing pole or underground cabinet only the construction fee will apply. 

If the line extension is 200 feet or less a fee for the first 200 feet will be charged in addition to the construction fee. 

A per foot fee after the first 200 feet will be charged in addition to the construction fee and the fee for the first 200 feet. 

A road crossing will be considered a special charge (see 7.4.4 Construction Obstacles) for any new line extensions therefore the road crossing fee will apply where applicable.  

Meter Pedestal Pricing 

  • 200 amp single meter pedestal installed     $625.00 
  • 200 amp double meter pedestal installed    $910.00 
  • 320 amp meter pedestal installed              $1,360.00

UNDERGROUND CONSTRUCTION - FROST CHARGE POLICY

The Cooperative will apply a frost charge of $4.00 per foot for underground construction from November 1st to April 15th. The frost charge will be prepaid in advance of construction. If the Cooperative deems that the frost charge or a portion of the frost charge did not apply during the period stated above, the Cooperative reserves the right to waive the frost charge or a portion of the frost charge. Any prepaid frost charge or portion thereof that the Cooperative waives will be refunded.  

If normal construction is extended into the frost charge period and the frost charge is applicable and not paid in advance, it will be billed accordingly.

APPENDIX A – SCHEDULES OF FEES AND DEPOSITS 

Line Extension Fees Three Phase (Large Power and Irrigation Classification)

  • Actual Construction Cost (Less applicable construction allowance based on usage and load characteristics and applicable rebates on equipment that saves energy).
  • Estimated construction costs must be paid prior to the start of construction. 

Line Extension Fees Three Phase (Non-permanent, minimal use, or non- standard service)

  • Actual Construction Cost
  • Estimated construction costs must be paid prior to the start of construction.
