June 2 - 5k Trail Race Series: 5:30 p.m. Iola Winter Sports Club, E398 County Road MM, Iola. Will include a 5k trail race. There will also be a vertical challenge race each series night where participants will attempt to be the first to run from the bottom of the 60m Ski Jump landing to the takeoff. There will be a free 1k kids race and plenty for kiddos to do while the races are going on - from music, food, mountain bike skills area, etc. For more information, email iolawintersportsclub@gmail.com

June 3 & June 5 - Babysitting Training: 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Jensen Community Center, 487 N Main Street, Amherst. This two-day program is designed for ages 11-14 and will cover essential topics such as injury prevention and treatment, CPR, managing challenging behaviors, and the business aspect of babysitting. Taught by Cynthia Arnoldussen. Cost is $50. Families are invited to join at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday June 5 when students present their graduation projects.
