Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative was recently advised of the potential of cyber theft at one of our local banking institutions. When we heard about the potential theft, we immediately engaged both our insurance carrier and legal counsel. The Cooperative is following our professional's advice, and we do not believe at this time that we have any financial exposure. Nonetheless, we wanted to provide everyone with an update to ensure both safety and transparency in everything we do. This only affects CWEC's account, not any of our member's accounts.
